ABOUT HELENE
Helene Pruszynski was the kind of person no one can forget. She
was
raised in Hamilton,
Massachusetts, a warm and small community nestled on the North Shore by
the
quiet ocean front. She had a loving family and was the youngest
of three. In high
school, she
excelled as a
student and held great promise toward a future devoted to others.
Unselfish, loyal and honest, she strove to be the best that she could
be.
Helene graduated in the top 10 of her high
school class. She was the editor of the school newspaper
"Sound-Off" and had aspirations to be a reporter/journalist one
day.
She was tutor of students, a mentor to young and old, essayist at
graduation, treasurer of the class, lead performer in the drama guild,
won the cheerleading coaches award, guidance department aide, and sang
in a select singing
group called Harmony.
During Helene's senior year of high school she was accepted into
Wheaton College and went on to study journalism. She was so
excited when
she was given the opportunity during her last year at Wheaton to work
as a reporter on an internship with radio station KHOW in
Colorado. Her parents were pleased too since they had family in
Denver
who Helene
could live with while she was there -- a place where she would be loved
and most
importantly - be safe. Tragically, she wasn't safe. And on
a cold winter
night she was
accosted by a vicious killer.
A beautiful and unique individual
with so much to give
and so much to live for. When Helene walked into a room it was as if
the clouds parted
and beautiful rays of sunshine parted their way through.
